Alas the moment I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived — can I have a drum roll please??
A few months ago, editor assistant Lindsay Hunt of Marcus Samuelsson asked me if I’d be interested in contributing a post for Marcus Samuelsson. I thought I was dreaming, I kind of hyperventilated for a little bit and then jumped up and down (threw in a cartwheel here and there) and tried to act as cool and calm as possible — “Why yes of course, I’d love to contribute.”
But who am I kidding folks? I was gushing, I could hardly contain my excitement, I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs OHMYGOD IT’S MARCUS SAMUELSSON. And for those of you who live under a rock, Marcus is an award-winning chef, cookbook, author, and food activist who’s a James Beard Award winner, Top Chef Masters Winner – I mean he’s obviously just a winner at life.
